And… exhale. We are thrilled about and want to welcome you to the long overdue and very much needed over haul of the YES! Foundation website! Please take a look around! We hope you will not only find it enjoyable, but also helpful in getting to know our work a little better.
My name is Pat Thompson and I am the Executive Director and Co-Founder of the YES! Foundation of White Center. 2019 finds us in our 19th year of operation and we have much to be grateful about!!
A highlight for us is our partnership with Cascade Middle School, a school of the Highline Public Schools District, where we have been part of their after school programing for two years now – more on that later! Our partnerships with Run to Win Outreach Camps, Cascade Bicycle Club, A.I.G.A. Link, World Vision, White Center CDA, Lake Burien Presbyterian Church, John Perkins Center at S.P.U., Baden Sports, Highline College, Highline Schools and the Seattle Foundation remain strong and vital in our ongoing work in community. To say that it’s an honor and our distinct privilege to do our work alongside these organizations is an absolute understatement!
The work of the YES! Foundation is to create and provide excellent programming and opportunities. In doing so, we share resources and social capital with our community’s children and youth because we believe that having access to powerful life experiences and solid relationships is a good foundation for the development of strong, healthy, equipped leaders. Ultimately, our heart is developing leaders, and we look forward to partnering with you in helping us reach that mission!
