Born and raised in White Center as the middle child of 3 to T & Sili Savusa, Pulemau began her work as an advocate and community leader as a teenager. Throughout her early years of organizing in the community and through her involvement with the YFWC as a high school student, she developed a strong passion for education equity especially amongst Pacific Islander students. She then helped create the program Our Future Matters which she is now the director, and is currently pursuing a BA in Educational Studies at the University of Washington Bothell as a result of that work. During her spare time, she loves to travel, play board games, and binge watch reality tv shows.
